Mary (Meyer) & Raymond Voglewede
Raymond A (Glutting) Voglewede was born April 21, 1897, in Decatur, Indiana. He was
the son of John J Glutting and
Lucy (Voglewede) Glutting. He had an older sister,
Marie (Glutting) Shuppert, and two brothers, Charles Glutting and Anthony Glutting.
In 1902, when Raymond was 5 years old, his mother died. Raymond was raised by his
maternal uncle (Anthony Voglewede) and aunt (Anna Meyer Voglewede), but he was not
adopted until the age of 18 years. Raymond's father, John J Glutting, moved to Attica,
Indiana, where he remarried and had 2 more girls, Grace and Mae.
On June 6, 1921, Raymond married Mary Antoninette Meyer, daughter of John and Anna Meyer.
The wedding party included Anthony & Anna (Meyer) Voglewede; Raymond & Mary (Meyer) Voglewede;
Mrs. Barney (Antoinette) Lengerich, John S and Anna (Lengerich) Meyer
